37. Looking for Jake and other stories by China Miéville

A collection of short stories by the author of Perdido Street Station and The Scar. Like any short story collection, some of these are better than others. Quite a few are straight-up horror, which was kind of unexpected. One is set in Bas-lag and the rest are set in alternate Londons. The stories are all interesting enough, I didn't like any of them nearly as much as the Bas-lag novels.

Disclaimer: short stories are rarely My Thing.

Did you like the one set in Ikea? That was my favourite one.

I think my favourite one was the one about the streets that move and fight each other, but I did think the Ikea one was hilarious. And the Christmas (TM) one was rather good too.
