Remember how earlier this year I was stunned that I own more summer clothes than winter ones for the first time ever?

I dug out the autumn/winter stuff yesterday and discovered than I'm seriously lacking in just about everything. I'm not entirely sure how that happened.

I had a quick look around town the other week, and didn't see anything I like. Bristol city centre is Shopping Hell, so it looks like on Saturday I'll be bussing it up to the out of town mall. It takes forever, but I have lots of books to read.

There's a John Lewis in the mall, so must not come home with lots of expensive housewares instead. Or in addition. I'm almost out of debt, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Are charity shops of any use? All their winter stuff should be hitting the rails about now.

I've got some good accessories and an awesome pair of boots, but there's been nothing really smart enough for work. And charity shops in Downend tend to have very little in smaller sizes.

Did you try St Peter's? If you are going to the centre, try looking at the branch near Debenhams-they have doubled in size and tend to have more work-orientated clothes (from what I remember).

I am seriously considering hitting the Principles web site and getting a load of stuff all at once. (There's no Principles in Bath and I hate shopping anyway.)

Then again, I've also just discovered Kaleidoscope, which is slightly pricy and can veer towards the mumsy, but also does stuff like THIS http://www.kaleidoscope.co.uk/web/main/ProductDisplay.asp?LP=Fashion&An=681&A=742683%5F16&N=678+4294967143&Au=P%5FMasterItem&Nu=P%5FMasterItem&Ns=P%5FColour%7C0%7C%7CP%5FSize%7C0

That dress is fab!

I don't do clothes shopping online if I can help it - I'm never sure what's going to fit, and returns are way too much hassle.
