The Illusionist is a pretty good story, and visually stunning. Yay for filming in the Czech republic.

However, my point is that once again I was reminded that I know next to zilch about the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Need to find myself an "Austro-Hungarian Empire for Dummies" and would receive any recommendations gratefully.

Finding Neverland is, as ivory_goddess said, simply wonderful. I seem to remember avoiding it at the time because it got quite a pasting by the critics. Was I on crack, or are the critics really that harsh?
