Things I get inordinately excited by

Richard Belzer was the guest on The Daily Show tonight (last night for my North American readers)!

He's equally awesome when he's not Munch! and very funny.

He has a new book out - a comedy detective novel based on his character from L&O:SVU (which I quit watching a while ago because there's too much Stabler & Benson and not enough Munch & Finn).

Bugger, that was silly.  Yes, so as I just said; I enjoyed what I saw of SVU, but the other characters are more interesting than Stabler & Benson.  I think it's a tight competition between them and Jack Bauer for most erosion of civil liberties and advocacy of torture!

But at least on SVU Munch provides on-screen criticism of said erosion of liberties.
