Almost feeling human again this week. Yesterday I was even able to walk to our closest decent cafe and back (20 minutes there, more back as it's up hill all the way), which I haven't been able to do since I got hit by all those viruses, so I think I'm back to normal. Annoyingly slow recovery, but quicker than it has been in the past.
We have ordered a new mattress. We ended up going with Benson's because a) it's close to home; and b) you can test drive the beds in the shop. It won't be delivered as soon as I'd like, but it would be stupid to buy a mattress that neither of us likes as much for the sake of quicker delivery. Just when I'd got my finances in order, but it could be worse - I could have got crippled with back pain when I still owed the credit card £800, and I've done all my Christmas shopping.
Back pain is much better, but I am running low on magic over-the-counter Canadian muscle relaxants, so I need to schedule a trip to my doctor to see if they are at least available on prescription over here.
The Christmas card production line started today - if any of you in Canada/US/Australia would like a card, send me your address by the end of the week!
It was also Bibliogoths today. We seem to have finally found a lovely pub in which to have our meetings - it's the only medieval building standing amongst a lot of concrete monstrosities as the bombs in WWII must have missed that bit. Food selection is limited but cheap and excellent. Drinks selection is not limited - and next time it won't be my turn to drive!
