"After a hugely successful one-off in August, Sound of the Crowd is returning to the Hatchet on a monthly basis for 2009.
We'll be bringing you the finest in 80s Alternative, Synthpop and New Wave music, on the first Saturday of every month, starting on 7th February.
Expect to hear Joy Division, Human League, Ultravox, Bowie, B-Movie, The Assosciates, Blancmange, Gary Numan, Japan, New Order, Nine Inch Nails, Mobiles, Alphaville, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Altered Images, Bow Wow Wow, Psychedelic Furs, Lotus Eaters, Jesus and Mary Chain, Bauhaus, Tears For Fears, Thompson Twins, New Model Army, PiL, The Mission, The Stranglers, The Clash, Kim Wilde, The Cult, Adam Ant, Toyah, Simple Minds, Men Without Hats, Siousxie and the Banshees, Devo, Teardrop Explodes, Spear of Destiny, Hazel O' Connor, Kirsty MacColl, Soft Cell, The Pretenders, A-Ha, B-52s, The Cramps, Classix Nouveaux and Howard Jones amongst many others."
