Film/general update
Mar. 22nd, 2009 09:22 pmHave done as close to nothing as possible this weekend - I put in loads of overtime last week (by my standards, the real professionals amongst you would giggle if you knew how little) and Friday was spent walking around Downend, Staple Hill and Fishponds trying, amongst other things, to find somewhere to cut me copies of a bizarre and ancient window key. Win. I *heart* Staple Hill. It's the land that time forgot, in a good way.
The highlight of my weekend has been watching Princess Mononoke. I always love Studio Ghibli stuff, but this is surprisingly complex and really quite wonderful.
The other highlight (which should show just how sad my life is) is that I finally used my new smoothie maker! Last time I was in town I picked up the Kenwood Smoothie 2 Go for a significant discount in House of Fraser and have been too ill to use it since. Melon & blueberry smoothies = win!
Re: John Cooper Clarke next weekend - I haven't got tickets yet. I have to put in another full week at work, though it shouldn't be quite as bad as last week, but as I have no faith that I will be in any shape to leave the house, I think I'll have to take my chance buying tickets on the door.
If I make it through the next week it will be a major feat of endurance.
