DIY update

inulroStarted in the attempt to get rid of the wallpaper. Decided the only way to go is renting a steamer, otherwise it will take weeks. Now wishing all those tool rental places near my house hadn't shut down.
Unfortunately this has unearthed another job I need to do - or rather, pay someone else to do. The ceiling. It's awful. There's no point doing the rest of the room properly if the ceiling is still awful, & it makes more sense to have it done before everything else, especially the floor. I'm not even trying to do that myself. Don't know where to start, but there's lots of tradesmen recommended on the intranet at work so I'll have a look there on Monday.
This reads remarkably like I've become a Proper Homeowner. Don't tell the people who are contracted to off me if that ever happens.
I hurt a bit now, but I can't remember the last time I had this much energy. Seriously - maybe the mid-90s?
