Of all the days to not have purple hair

inulroOur unit got donated some charity money and there was a big photo-op at lunchtime today. My boss is a complete media whore so this happens regularly. Unfortunately today the rest of the team disappeared so I got roped into being in it. So I'm really hoping we don't make it into the Bristol Evening News tomorrow.
Now, if I had purple hair, either a) he'd never have made me do it or b) I'd be getting my picture in the paper for work with purple hair. That would be cool.
On the subject of work, I may have mentioned that the boss is going on sabbatical to Australia next year. They're 99% sure they've sorted out who is doing his job for that time. I've spent the last few weeks assuring myself that I can work with this person and that in many ways he'll be better to deal with than the boss.
I've had one of those crashing realization days that this is not in fact the case, and that I will probably have a nervous breakdown in the process. This is not good. I can't get enough money together in time to join the January intake of the nursing school, and the next intake isn't until September, which would mean I'd have to work with him for 9 whole months.
I'm really hoping this last bit is brought to you by the fact that I didn't sleep last night and have zero serotonin in my system today.
