I've now done one of the things I fear most - having to prepare and travel when I'm too fuzzy-headed with the lurgy to think or see. I can even function in French in that state! The only blazing piece of stupidity was forgetting that since they changed the SIM card when I got a new phone it was not set up for roaming. Thankfully I am paranoid and also gave the pet sitter Jason's number so if there'd been an emergency we would have been contactable anyway. Also, it's also my camera so it wasn't a waste of space to bring it along.
