[bristol] - impromptu gig

Alistair (DJ from Sound of the Crowd) posted on FB last night about a gig at The Old Stillage in Redfield tonight. Bands are The Violetcrazies and the Knuts.

Ents 24 describes them respectively as: "Psychedellic punks with a steam punk industrial sound, influenced by Killing Joke, Prodigy, PiL and Portion Control. The band are currently receiving great reviews as one of the few bands around that really do deliver live. Recently featured in Devolution magazine and reviewed by South Sonic Music website." and "Alternative Gothic PostPunk band from Brazil."

I can't resist South American bands.

No idea of price but I can't imagine it's much.

Seeing as that's as close to my neck of the woods as any gig is ever going to be, as long as I'm not feeling too horrible this evening I think I'll pop along, if anyone wants to join me.

I would go, but I'm knackered. Sorry as it does sound good.

Cinema stalled this week. May be #fail next week due to Harry Plopper knocking all the other films out of the cinemas. Although I'd still be up for anything else random that night.

I was still holding on for 8 December for the Mutanty Monsters one, as I really fancy seeing it.

Yeah - same here, plus in a foul mood that's unlikely to be helped by First Buses or drizzle :/ Plan B = beer though. I'm up for that.

God yes! Mutant monsters from space or whatever is a must-see for me - it's just not the same on the small screen.

Agreed - some things are fairly pointless on the small screen. I'll try and keep tabs on when it comes out.
