Good news! C10 is going to be in Chicago. Yay! I had to check altgothic.com - the bitchfest hasn't started on any of the newsgroups.

I've just checked my passport - it expires the week before Convergence. So I have to get a new one. Oh joy. It's slightly less hassle to get a Canadian passport issued abroad than it is in Canada, but still a job I could do without. Why can't we have 10 year passports like everyone else?

I still don't have access to LJ at work - I'm posting from home because I'm stuck in with another virus. Yesterday I just felt like dying, today I'm bored. I guess that's a good sign.

There was just enough people making posts about how they protest-voted for Lawrence to get me a bit worried. Everyone I know voted for Chicago, but I don't know that many people.

I liked the concept of Kansas, with it's concentration on the net.goth get together aspect and it's *serious* de-emphasizing of bands, (Which I'm all in favor of since the odds are generally heavily against any convergence getting any bands that I'm interested in.) but I wound up voting for Chicago because it's a lot closer to me, and because I trust that the people putting understand that it's not just a band-fest, but a net.goth get-together.

Whether I actually go or not though depends on finances, my health at the time, and whether or not I'm likely to run into people there that I'd just as soon avoid. If all that comes together, I'll likely be there, otherwise, probably not.

I'm going. Dammit. Yeah, so I have a bad habit of displacing all my actual problems and issues into planning trips to Convergence for 6 months. Worked just fine with Montreal too.

The nifty thing about people I want to avoid is, they're all over here. That is the great advantage Convergence has over Whitby.
