My new favourite bands
Nov. 21st, 2003 12:33 pmSo, I'm sitting at home taking advantage of mp3.com while I still can.
So far, I've learned that, as I suspected, I *need* to buy material by The Strokes and The White Stripes. Evanesence don't suck, Murder at the Registry are a very fine band indeed, and Adoration-uk are a Mission-style big fat disappointment (very good, just not My Thing(TM)).
Find of the morning is a Vancouver band called Mr. Underhill. They're a surf-punk-gothabilly type outfit with outrageously catchy tunes. Based on the three songs they have up, they're my new favourite band.
This is the problem with not working - I sit at home finding more things on which to spend money. This situation is exacerbated by finally reading the BBC History Magazine Books of the Year 2003 supplement.
