Cheap therapy

I just acquired some Roborovski hamsters. (see here for more info.) They are the smallest breed of dwarf hamster and are extremely tiny. So small they can't really bite you! They like to run on their wheels at extreme high speed and are generally the funniest things in the world. I haven't laughed this much in ages.

One of them seems to have taken exception to being laughed at loudly though.

I know the last thing I need right now is more pets, but these don't really count as pets, they're desk accessories.

Plus, I'm not going to have Frodo the rat for much longer. He was either much sicker than we thought or misses his brother a lot, and is definitely not long for this world.

Yup. Just over half the size of Ouch & Squeak. These things are seriously tiny. And really fast. And can jump about 2 feet in the air. I'm in so much trouble if they ever escape.

I think you need one of the rabbits mentioned in a post of mine today, and a photograph of them together.

They really are unfeasibly tiny (especially as two of them aren't quite full size yet). You'll have to come round and see them some time.

And we're not photographing them with anything, because I'm not putting any of them down on an non-contained surface.

Tomorrow (today), maybe, if it's not raining and you're not otherwise engaged. Next weekend if I can move about after surgery I'll be in Cambridge I think. Weekend after that MK, then after that Brighton maybe, then it's the weekend before Christmas.

It'd be good to arrange something in advance and Get Pat & John and folks together.

Today I'm mostly feeling like shite, cleaning out bunnies and gerbils, doing my shopping and then we have to go to Bath for Jason to fix Andrea's computer.

I've not really thought about it to be honest - not since I was planning on going somewhere warm with someone. Usually I tend to stay at home with the cats and eat beans on toast, and NOT mope, but think about all those around me who are going frantic and getting stressed!
