Another one of those days

inulroSheesh! Look where this guy represents - I don't think that's my parents' constituency, but the next one over. And people wonder why I left home at the earliest possible convenience. It never ceases to amaze me how wing-nutty the right wing politicians are in what is in practice probably the most liberal country in the world.
Aside from that, it's been another crappy day. One or both of the baby hamsters has beat up the mummy hamster so I've had to put her on her own, at least for a while. None of the websites have anything to say about what to do if they start fighting - just that they won't if they've been together from an early age. Most incidences of small animals behaving wrongly is down to keeping them wrong; so I'm trying to figure out what we're doing wrong. I'm wondering if one of the babies is in fact a boy, but at least 4 people checked them on Saturday. I think I'll take them in with me tomorrow to check again. Oh, the joy of rare breeds.
I just had to take the bus to the local Tesco and video shop. I was barely able to walk to the bus stop & back. I'm supposed to be back to work on Monday. Hmm. Maybe not.
I'm also in the process of defrosting the freezer and thus flooding the kitchen. I'd be less annoyed if I hadn't paid a lot of money for a supposedly frost-free freezer. Grrr.
