I should know this, but I can't remember.
Tomorrow the temperature is going to be 0, but will "feel like" (presumably this means wind chill) -7.
We are due to get a fucktonne of precipitation dumped on us.
Is this more likely to come down as snow, or slushy rain?
If it's snow, buses probably won't run so I'll have to walk to work and will need to get up early. Snow may well be preferrable to the slush option, except for the walking part.

Date: 2013-01-17 05:51 pm (UTC)It's also very dependant on what the air temperature in the cloud and on the way down is doing.
Most likely it'll be snow up there.
If there's a warm layer on the way down it will melt and you'll get freezing rain,
Or it'll melt when it hits warmer ground and turn to slush - the earlier the snow starts, the more likely it is to remain snow and then get trampled into ice as people walk on it.
So, it's really all up in the air I'm afraid. Plan for the worst.
