[books 2013] Ian Rankin
May. 19th, 2013 08:18 pm30. A Question of Blood by Ian Rankin
This month's Bibliogoths selection. A re-read. I couldn't remember much about it, and I'd never rated it as one of the stronger books in the Rebus series. I think I liked it better this time around, though.

What I have no tolerance for is any detective series that has to be read in order to make sense.
I did try to explain that starting with the first books isn't necessarily going to hook you because Rankin hadn't really figured out where he was going with the series at first - certainly the earliest one I remember making an impression on me is Strip Jack.
