Bastarding Firstbus
Nov. 6th, 2013 09:05 amApparently they're paying for their fare cuts (which is actually a fare rise if you buy a season ticket and live in the old Zone 1, but that's another rant) by not sending so many buses.
Usually there's one every 5-10 minutes in the morning. I was on the bus stop for half an hour, during which time two went past full (which also never happens). One of the ladies had been there since 7:10. (I get there at 7:30).
I missed it yesterday because I had to let the builders in and didn't go in till 8:30, but the same thing happened yesterday. And nobody could get a bus home either.
Why am I absolutely not surprised.
My pass runs out today and I'm not buying a new one just yet - if the same happens tomorrow and Friday I'm going to have to start walking to work. Which will eat up the nice quiet time I have eating my breakfast in the canteen and starting my day relaxed. And is the last thing you want to do at this time of year anyway.
Also, the Rob Ford story made the Today show this morning. One's humiliation is complete.
