I've changed my mind
Jan. 7th, 2014 08:52 amI'd rather be subject to the arctic front that's sweeping north America than the constant deluge. At least I wouldn't be expected to go out in it.
I'm sick of getting this wet every time I leave the house. My backpack had just about dried out from the soaking on Sunday only to be re-drenched this morning. I work in the old medieval docks area, which is to say basically at sea level, so there's no way to get here without getting wet feet - the pavements are all under an inch of water, if you can avoid the puddles which have turned into small lakes, and getting splashed by cars driving through said small lakes. The forecast says that this will be January. Rinse. Repeat.
Oh wait. I'm Canadian, not American. I would be expected to go out in it. I'll take option 3, tropical island, thanks.

Give me stupid cold winters in T.O. over British winters any year.
