25. A Feast for Crows by George RR Martin

Four down, one to go.

This one runs in parallel with book five, and concentrates on my less favourite characters and locations. It was starting to drag about 2/3 of the way through, but then (and this applies in every volume) he pulls off one shocking and/or cliffhanging situation after another and I'm sucked back in.

I did start to like some of the characters that I previously hadn't in this book. And the religion element starts to get really interesting.

Much as I want to dive straight into the next one, I've got some other new books stacked up that I should read first.

A Dance Of Dragons is a bit boring after AFOC anyway.
