a) scary. Very scary, and
b) the reason people look at me funny when I mention my grandparents are Mormons. My parents aren't, and it's not something we ever talked about, so 90% of what I know about Mormonism is from books and the Web. I would like to add that my experience is nothing like the above article. For a start, there is no poverty in my grandparents' church community.
I had a whole essay about my experience of Mormons vs. what I've read, but it was less interesting than I expected, so I've scrubbed it. I would like to thank my sinus headache.
