Retail therapy

inulroI am now in possession of the DVD of Lawrence of Arabia. It was £7.99. Don't know when I'm going to watch it - what with sleep-work-sleep holding pattern due to last until the weekend, when I'm heading to London.
Whereas sorting out my glasses with new lenses has cost over £100, what with having to upgrade my sunglasses, my regular glasses and my spares. Being nearly blind, I can't take chances. I broke my only pair of glasses once. That was a bad experience and since then I've always had at least one spare pair.
So now I *really* have to stop spending money.

I meant to add to my Resurrection post yesterday what excellent value for money they are. Two import CDs, one a double album, for £11.95 each plus postage. And the Darkcell ones were £6.99 including postage. I had a rummage in the Virgin 3 for 2 sale the other day, and the average price was £14.99! Not for new and hip stuff, but for back catalogue items!!! Even with the 3rd free (the cheapest), that's still bloody expensive. I could have sworn I could remember when the chains (at least for really basic stuff) cost less than independent music stores.

I'm also unclear how I'm going to get through the week. Everything hurts and I feel the need to sleep a lot. Unfortunately my body clock says otherwise. Blech!
