Today, I booked our rental car and our flights to Toronto. Toronto people: We arrive at lunch time on Saturday, May 29th.

I have not got quite as far as I should with my passport application, but I do have appropriate photos. This was a saga in itself. Fortunately the place that specialises in doing awkward foreign passport photos is a 5 minute bus ride from work. It cost a small fortune, but the whole process took about 15 minutes, which to me beats the hell out of having to explain exactly what I need to a random photography studio. The printout instructions from the web site is 4 pages long! Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to run around collecting the last few bits & pieces for that, and get my euros for next week.

And it is spring, because we were able to put bunnies outside after work today.

I'm telling you all this because I'm not tired (when does that ever happen) but have a headache and can't concentrate to actually do anything.

The Canadian Passport photo rules are a royal pain. At least many of the photo places in Canada have learned the rules and can produce the right type of photo. It got extra confusing with the Landed Immigrant Card and the Citizenship application.

Again, it feels like a total rip off to pay $11 for two dumb little photos but at least the shop will guarantee it if the passport agency gets a little too anal.

Good Luck!
