Whitby - it's closer than I thought

It's not so much it's sooner than I thought, but that I've got a lot of stuff to do this weekend that has nothing to do with Whitby, thus eating up effectively all my free time between now and next Thursday morning. (Not that I'm complaining - I'd rather have something to do than sit at home being bored).
The only time-consuming thing I still need to do is get my stuff ready for the Bring and Buy sale, which is not something I want to do when I'm tired and pissed off after work, but it looks like I'll have to.
We also have to get going really early on Thursday morning, as I have to drop the zoo at the zoo hotel before collecting our stuff and getting on the road - I want to get to Robin Hood's Bay while there's still some daylight left. It would be easier to get a pet sitter, but between Jason's exotics and my special needs guys, the shelter where we work are the only people who really know what they're doing.
On second thought I don't think I'll work up to panicking, seeing as I can't work up to caring what I wear. Whether or not I buy anything while I'm there remains to be seen - I've never done so before, but at past Whitby attendances I had zero disposable income, and that situation has changed considerably. Seeing as I never go out anyway, I'll be more likely to be looking out for a nice line in not-so-stealthy corpgoth wear than corsets or silly boots. I do always buy stuff from the Bat Conservation people though.

Date: 2002-10-23 07:35 am (UTC)As for corpgoth wear, it's well worth checking out the Whitby charity shops, they always seem to haul everything black to the fore for that weekend. I think I've got more stuff there than at the actual bazaar.
