I'm going to see Nick Cave!
Nov. 24th, 2004 08:36 pmWhee! He's doing a solo date at the Colston Hall in Bristol on 26th February. Not the same as the Bad Seeds, but I've not seen Nick solo before, so it should be cool. According to http://www.nickcaveandthebadseeds.com/ there's only two solo dates - Bristol and Gateshead! Must have been the only appropriate-sized venues available on the same dates as Nick.
As Nick Cave shows always sell out before I get my act together, I've purchased tickets. How's that for forward planning?
I also have some kick-ass tickets for Henry Rollins. I know I said I'd try to organise a group thing, but I clearly suck far too much, and was at the ticket emporium for the Nick Cave tickets anyway.
Health-wise, I'm just about hanging in there. Which is good, as I have no sick pay, except for statutory sick pay - what's that, about 20p per day? I'm trying to resist doing nothing but work & sleep, but it's difficult. I'm also unable to exercise, and I can feel myself getting fatter every day. I try to go out and have a walk every lunch time, but I doubt it's sufficient.
If I am feeling energetic, I'd be tempted to go see Swarf in Winchester on Saturday. I suspect I'll curl up with a DVD instead.
