Is quite crap really. I once again had forgotten that books are more expensive in Canada than here. That doesn't excuse the crap selection (compared to the UK site, which in turn is dwarfed by what one can buy through plain old .com), or the slightly clunkier user interface than the UK version.

It is, of course, all my fault for leaving birthday present shopping for my family till the last minute & thus needing to order domestically. I always miss the window between "it's too soon" and "oh shit it's too late".

Something that cheers me up every day though: Pet of the Day. With links to cat of the day & dog of the day.

Strange, I had never noticed or thought that regular books are more expensive in Canada. I can believe a little more expensive than the US but more expensive than the UK? That's a surprise.

There's only two things that are more expensive in Canada than in the UK: new books (second hand are dirt cheap) and non-Canadian made footwear.

Both of which keep my spending under control while I'm there.
