jobs.ac.uk has tons of academic support jobs. Some of which I could even do, are local & pay more than I make now. If only I could find the coherence and motivation to work on my CV & do some applications.

Thats good news. Let me know if you want me to read through your CV. Its always good to get a few people to look at it. This one http://www.jobs.ac.uk/jobfiles/LL537.html sounds good but only for 3 months. I'm sure for something like that you could do a lot of it from home!

Not sure about that - I haven't done as much in the way of literature searching in the medical field as I should have - it was one of those things the guys wanted me to do for them, but clinical stuff always got in the way. OTOH, if it's only for 3 months, there might not be any other good applicants.
