I wasted one of my few remaining days of annual leave today - woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck, and decided it was best if I didn't attempt to go to work.
Instead, I did some unpacking - the unread books now require their own room, and I need a bigger t-shirt drawer.
The last thing that happened before I went away was the vacuum cleaner blew up, and I spent half an hour looking for the dustbuster so that the pet sitter would have some way of cleaning up. Despite the fairly dire household finances, Jason bit the bullet and bought the expensive Dyson for pet owners. I have to admit it works VERY effectively indeed. (The dustbuster had taken care of the wood chip thrown about by the small critters, but didn't do a thing about the cat hair, which was everywhere).
