Insomnia, and good news
Feb. 23rd, 2007 01:07 pmI did a lot yesterday, some of which I should be following up on today, but it's not happening.
Why? Usual reason. No sleep. It's got worse than just not being able to get to sleep - I've started waking up several times in the middle of the night.
I was blaming it on the fact that I took my last Nytol a couple weeks ago and failed to replenish the stocks. I bought some more yesterday. I was really tired when I went to bed last night. Took a Nytol. Didn't help.
I really should go back to work soon, and I wanted to get my sleeping patterns straitened out before I did that. So much for blaming the lack of sleep on work-related stress!
I was a Bad Unemployed Person yesterday and spent quite a bit of money, some of it on stuff I don't remotely need. I did, however, score a spectacular bargain in the form of a £35 top for £5 in Debenham's clearance. I love it & it looks really good on me, but it's also a designer number and I wonder if I should just ebay it new with tags still attached for more than I paid for it.
Stopped in at Travelling Man and I now have the complete set of Mouse Guard. Not only has issue 6 finally made it, they have secured some copies of the elusive issue 2. Now to find some time to actually read it. I read issue 1 when I bought it, but have been waiting to read the rest till I could get my hands on issue 2. I also see from the message board that there's already t-shirts and mugs from cafepress, but there's also going to be cuddly toys and figurines. I know I never buy geek toys, but these are really tempting.
