[books 2009] That Swedish Vampire Novel

I did this the supposed wrong way round - saw the film the day I picked the book up from the library, but I don't think I suffered by this. The book feels very like the film - sparse, crisp and thoughtful. There is quite a lot more to the book. I did really enjoy it and will look out for his other book, which the library doesn't have (yet).
I also found similarities to the two Wallander novels I read earlier this year (that would be the Swedish detective novels) - in style, and in the attitudes of the characters.
Neither is much of an advert for the Swedish tourist board.
