[film] Paul and Fright Night

Simon Pegg and his mate find an alien in the desert after attending ComicCon.
Not terrible, but pretty disappointing - I'd heard it was a lot better than I found it. It couldn't seem to decide whether to be fuzzy and heartwarming or rude and obnoxious and kind of floundered in between.
On the other hand, I think it's the only film I've ever seen where what's supposed to be Wyoming actually looks like Wyoming.
Fright Night
OK, the main draw is David Tennant wearing eyeliner, but it's not a bad foray into the comedy/horror genre. I was thinking it played out a lot like a long episode of Buffy, and then saw that Marti Noxon wrote the screenplay.
