It's been a busy few days, and I should probably do this in several separate posts, but - well, I've got Stuff to do.
Went to the shelter on Saturday after not going last week, to get more bad news. Due to problems with the lease, we're closing in the middle of February. :-( The only problem is going to be rehoming the degus (7 males, 2 cages of 2 and 1 of 3) and the pair of chinchillas. We can't take the degus because ours are girls, and we are simply not chinchilla people. There are two rabbits that are my little friends that I may have to bring home if they don't find real homes between now and then. (If I don't take them, there's other people who will but would also rather not). We don't have room and I don't have time (or, I will initially but sooner or later I have to get a job), but OTOH this means there won't be any more waifs and strays living here.
I finish my day job on the 31st of January. HR thinks this is reasonable as it was not my fault there was nobody in to accept my resignation when I wrote it.
Went to the cinema on Saturday afternoon.
White Noise: The Light was really quite good. I think a lot of the effect depended on the loud noises from the cinema sound system, so I'm not convinced it would be as good at home. Nathan Fillon was good, but he is far less sexy when he is not being Captain Mal. This film is supposed to be a sequel to
White Noise, but really has nothing to do with it.
Saw another pretty decent thriller on DVD,
Suspect Zero. Ben Kingsley is really creepy in this.
Erm. As usual, I'm sure there was more, but it's all gone out of my brain.
