On Saturday evening, I very suddenly went from "a bit tired, but OK all things considered" to Very Unwell Indeed & it hasn't stopped. Apologies for flaking out on various events. I hope this is a temporary aberration, as feeling like this all the time again could really put a cramp in achieving my goals for this year. The pain's not much fun either.

Its probably not a bad thing you didn't make it for the fireworks. Clifton was packed, when we left the flat at about 7:30 our road was almost totally parked up. Sion Hill where we viewed was totally full of people.

Afterwards the whole area ground to a standstill with all the traffic.

Do you need the sun? (I'm thinking about the Algarve sorting your arthritis.) Perhaps you should go on holiday in the winter instead of the summer, and top up.

We're seriously considering about going to Tenerife next January. The north is quite nice, and we really want to take Pete's mum while she's still mobile enough to make it.

I did go on holiday in the winter! But then winter decided to extend itself, which has not helped. Perhaps February would be a better idea next year.
